The Junkers Ju 88, a highly versatile, twin-engine aircraft, served extensively in World War II as a medium/dive bomber, night fighter, torpedo bomber, and reconnaissance plane across all major European fronts, including the Mediterranean and North African theaters. Developed as a Luftwaffe mainstay, it was used for:
