Ilyushin il-2 twin seat

The twin-seat Ilyushin Il-2 (introduced Feb 1942) was primarily used by the Soviet Air Force as a heavily armored ground-attack aircraft on the Eastern Front of WWII. It provided close air support in major battles like Stalingrad and Kursk to destroy tanks, transport, and logistics. It was also operated by Bulgaria, Hungary, Mongolia, and Yugoslavia until the mid-1950s.
