The Hawker Tempest Mk.V was primarily used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) in the1944–19451944–1945 European theater during World War II. It served as a premier low-level interceptor against V-1 flying bombs, a ground-attack fighter supporting Operation Market Garden, and an effective dogfighter against Luftwaffe aircraft, including the Messerschmitt Me 262.
