The Hawker Spanish Fury (a variant of the British Hawker Fury biplane) was used by the Spanish Republican Air Force during the early stages of the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939). Three or four units were pressed into service, primarily based around Madrid in 1936, with one being captured and used as a trophy by Nationalist forces.
