The Hawker Hurricane Mk.I was primarily used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Allied forces as the backbone fighter during the early years of WWII, notably in the Battle of Britain (1940), where it achieved 60% of the combat victories. It also saw extensive service in the Battle of France, the Norway campaign, the defense of Malta, and the North African desert campaigns.
