The Xi'an H-6K "God of War" is the most advanced production version of China's H-6 bomber family, itself derived from the Soviet Tu-16. Introduced in the late 2000s, the H-6K features modern turbofan engines, a redesigned cockpit with digital avionics, and the ability to carry long-range cruise missiles on external pylons. Its successor variant, the H-6N, adds aerial refueling capability and the ability to carry large air-launched ballistic missiles. Today, modernized H-6 bombers form the backbone of China's long-range strike force and are routinely employed in patrols and exercises around Taiwan, the South China Sea, and the Western Pacific.
