The German V-1 "buzz bomb" (flying bomb) was primarily used during the later stages of World War II (June 1944–March 1945) to attack London and southeast England, as well as the port city of Antwerp, Belgium. Launched from occupied France and Holland, these missiles targeted civilians to cause terror.
