1-200 F-4G Wild Weasels 52nd TFW

The decals are specifically sized to fit our Erikgen printed F-4G Phantom II models at 1-200 scale. Includes historically accurate serial numbers while based at Spangdahlem AFB Germany during the 1980s.  Fin Flash 23rd, 81st, & 408th TFS. There are 3 different accurate styles of shark mouths. There are sufficient markings for 10 total airframes.
 
The 52nd Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW), based at Spangdahlem Air Base in West Germany during the Cold War, operated the McDonnell Douglas F-4G Phantom II "Wild Weasel" to perform Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) missions for NATO.
 
Role: Located in Central Europe, the 52nd TFW's squadrons were tasked with blinding and destroying enemy radar and surface-to-air missile sites.
Squadrons: The wing included the 23rd, 81st, and 480th Tactical Fighter Squadrons, which flew mixed configurations of F-4E and F-4G Phantoms paired as hunter-killer teams.
Camouflage: Spangdahlem F-4Gs famously wore the distinctive European One wrap-around camouflage scheme suited for low-level continental operations.
Combat: F-4Gs from the 52nd TFW deployed from Germany to the Middle East to participate in Operation Desert Storm in 1991, marking the ultimate combat deployment of the F-4G before its retirement.
