1-144 German WWI Tail Marking Balkenkreuz with white outline

This 1/144 scale German WWI tail-marking decal sheet is designed to supplement standard wing and fuselage sheets on aircraft with small or very small rudders. The markings feature a black Balkenkreuz with a contrasting white outline.
Historical Background
The German Air Service adopted the straight-sided Balkenkreuz in mid-April 1918 to replace the earlier cross pattée national marking. Aircraft already in service were repainted as the new marking was introduced, resulting in numerous variations in proportions, border width, and fit on small tail surfaces.

Standard straight-sided Balkenkreuz
Taller, narrower Balkenkreuz for especially small rudders
Ideal for 1/144 fighters and other German WWI aircraft where the normal wing or fuselage crosses are too large for the rudder.
