1-144 German WWI Iron Cross Style #2

$7.50Price

1914 orders were issued to paint a black iron cross on the top and bottom surfaces of the wings and on both sides of the rudder. It was also often used on both sides of the fuselage.  No specific  or formulas where issued and styles varied widely.  White background were not always used. Roundel placement and size varied from midpoint to extreme tips.

By 1916 orders were issued to remove the white background and all crosses were to be surrounded with a white boarder.

There are three size sheets available:

Large which will fit all the majority bombers like the Gotha's and very large fighters or gunships. They will be too small for the Zeppelin Staaken. If you need this style for ships that large, please email me.

Medium which will in most cases work on most bombers and larger wing sized fighters like the Fokker D's, Roland's, Pfalz's etc.

Small which will work on small rudders of above as well as wings of smaller fighters like the Albatros's, Fokker E3, Halberstadt  D2 etc.
