This 1/144 scale German WWI Balkenkreuz Style #1 decal sheet provides the straight-sided black cross with a thick white outline, suitable for aircraft from the final months of World War I.
Historical Background
The German Air Service adopted the Balkenkreuz in mid-April 1918, replacing the earlier cross pattée national insignia. On aircraft already in service, the new straight-sided crosses were sometimes applied over or adapted from earlier markings, creating substantial variation in proportions and border width. This sheet represents a bold outlined version for aircraft where a heavier white border is visible in period references.
