The VL Myrsky II was used by the Finnish Air Force primarily as a reconnaissance platform during the final stages of the Continuation War (1944) and briefly in the Lapland War. Delivered mainly to Reconnaissance Squadrons 12 and 16 (TLeLv 12, TLeLv 16), they operated in the Ladoga Karelia region and later over Northern Finland.
