The Sukhoi Su-1 prototype high-altitude fighter was developed in the Soviet Union at the beginning of World War II, with production and testing associated with factory locations in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and subsequently Novosibirsk, Siberia. The Su-1 was damaged during the evacuation of the design bureau from Moscow to Novosibirsk in October 1941, and its prototypes were likely destroyed in bombing raids near Novosibirsk.
