The Eurofighter Typhoon (EF-2000) is a highly agile, twin-engine, multirole 4.5-generation fighter jet developed by a European consortium of the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain. As of early 2026, the global fleet has surpassed one million flying hours, maintaining its status as a central pillar of NATO air power with service extending potentially into the 2060s.

Recent Combat Action: On March 1, 2026, a Royal Air Force (RAF) Typhoon operating from Qatar shot down an Iranian drone.

NATO Missions: German Typhoons were recently deployed for NATO's new Arctic mission and Air Policing in Poland.

New Orders: Türkiye recently reached a deal for 20 new-build and 24 used Typhoons to modernize its fleet.
