Commissioning: USS Casablanca (CVE-55) was a Casablanca-class escort aircraft carrier built by Kaiser Shipbuilding Company at Vancouver, Washington, and commissioned on 8 July 1943.

Major Campaigns & Notable Operations: Used extensively to train escort-carrier crews and later to ferry aircraft, personnel, fuel, and supplies to forward Pacific bases including Manus, Samar, and the Palaus.

Combat Service: Her wartime contribution centered on training and logistics rather than sustained front-line combat; she also conducted carrier qualification work off Saipan and later supported Operation Magic Carpet.

Ultimate Fate / Postwar Disposition: Decommissioned on 10 June 1946 and sold for scrap on 23 April 1947.

The deck treatment represented by this decal reflects the faded grey-blue appearance of weathered wartime flight-deck stain.
