Historical Information
HMS Venerable (R63) was built by Cammell Laird and commissioned on 17 January 1945. She served in the closing months of World War II and with British forces in the Far East before being sold to the Netherlands in 1948, where she became the carrier Karel Doorman; in 1968 she was sold again to Argentina and became Veinticinco de Mayo.
