Historical Information
HMS Indomitable (92) was a modified Illustrious-class carrier built by Vickers-Armstrongs and commissioned on 10 October 1941. She served in the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean, was damaged during Operation Pedestal in 1942 and torpedoed in 1943, then returned to action with the Eastern and British Pacific Fleets, where her armoured flight deck helped limit damage from a kamikaze strike in May 1945.
