Historical Information
HMS Victorious (R38) was commissioned in 1941 and quickly saw action when her Swordfish torpedo bombers attacked Bismarck in May of that year. She later served on Arctic and Mediterranean operations, supported Operation Pedestal and Operation Torch, deployed with the U.S. Pacific Fleet in 1943 under the informal nickname/codename “Robin,” struck Tirpitz in 1944, and fought with the British Pacific Fleet in 1945.
