Historical Information
The Type 075 is the PLAN's first purpose-built large-deck amphibious assault ship class. The lead ship Hainan entered service in 2021, followed by Guangxi and Anhui in 2022 and Hubei in 2025. Four ships are in PLAN service. The class combines a full-length flight deck and large hangar for helicopter operations with a well deck for air-cushion landing craft, giving the PLAN substantially greater capacity for helicopter-borne assault, amphibious lift, and expeditionary support.
