The Sukhoi Su-35S "Flanker-E" is a 4.5-generation fighter primarily used by the Russian Aerospace Forces, with significant combat deployment in the Syrian civil war (starting around 2016) for air superiority and strike missions. It has been heavily utilized during the invasion of Ukraine for air defense suppression, escort, and stand-off engagement.
