Historical Background
The Phönix C.I was a late-war Austro-Hungarian reconnaissance and general-purpose aircraft introduced during 1918. Developed from Phönix's experience producing earlier Hansa-Brandenburg aircraft, it represented a more modern generation of Austro-Hungarian two-seat designs.
The C.I was intended for reconnaissance, observation, and battlefield support during the final year of the war.
