LHA-2 Saipan deck — 1-3000 Scale Deck Decal
This LHA-2 Saipan deck decal is designed for 1-3000 NavWar miniatures. Sized to NavWar's N621 TARAWA LHA model.

Decal Information
This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the deck markings for the LHA-2 Saipan during that period of time. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.

Historical Information
The Tarawa class combined the functions of earlier amphibious command, helicopter carrier, and dock landing ships into a large general-purpose amphibious assault ship. Its flight deck supported helicopters and AV-8B Harriers while its well deck operated landing craft and LCACs. USS Saipan served as one of the five ships of the class.
