Historical Context
The Mikoyan MiG-29 was a Soviet fourth-generation tactical fighter developed to counter contemporary Western aircraft such as the F-16 and F/A-18. The prototype first flew in 1977, and the MiG-29 entered operational service with the Soviet Air Forces in the early 1980s.
The aircraft combined twin-engine performance, high agility, pulse-Doppler radar, an infrared search-and-track system, helmet-mounted sight, and advanced short-range missiles. It was designed primarily for air superiority but retained useful strike capability.

Development and Origin: Developed as the lighter counterpart to the Su-27, the MiG-29 emphasized dispersed frontline operations, rapid acceleration, maneuverability, and strong close-combat performance.
Military and Combat Operations:
