Kongo Class DDG 1-2400
Kongo Class DDG 1-2400
This 1-2400 scale waterslide deck decal represents the JMSDF Kongō class, Japan's first Aegis-equipped guided-missile destroyers.
Decal Information
The decal reproduces the visible deck and helicopter-deck markings for the Kongo Class and is printed on a clear background so the modeler's painted deck color remains visible. The deck markings and hull numbers should be cut and positioned carefully to match the miniature.
Model Compatibility
Miniatures from other manufacturers may differ in deck dimensions, weapons placement, or superstructure footprint, so test-fit before application.
Historical Information
The four Kongō-class ships entered service beginning in 1993 and gave the JMSDF a major long-range fleet air-defense capability. Based broadly on the U.S. Navy's Arleigh Burke concept but adapted to Japanese requirements, the class later became an important element of Japan's sea-based ballistic-missile-defense force after modernization for SM-3 operations.
