The JF-17A Thunder is the original single-seat production version of the jointly developed Pakistani-Chinese fighter aircraft. It has been used primarily by the air forces of Pakistan, Myanmar, and Nigeria.
 
Countries Operating the JF-17A Thunder
Pakistan – The largest operator, with the JF-17A serving in multiple squadrons of the Pakistan Air Force. The aircraft has been used for air defense, strike missions, counterinsurgency operations, and border security duties. It participated in Operation Swift Retort in 2019.
Myanmar – Acquired JF-17 Block II aircraft beginning in the late 2010s. The aircraft has been used by the Myanmar Air Force, although reports have indicated maintenance and reliability challenges.
Nigeria – The Nigerian Air Force received three JF-17s in 2021. They are used for air defense and counterinsurgency operations against militant groups.
