Indo-Pakistani War of 1971

The F-6 saw its most extensive combat during the 1971 war. Three PAF squadrons (Nos. 11, 23, and 25) flew hundreds of combat sorties. The aircraft was used for:
Air defense and interception
Close air support
Ground attack missions against Indian armor and troop concentrations
Battlefield interdiction missions
PAF F-6 pilots claimed multiple Indian aircraft, including Su-7s and Hawker Hunters, while the aircraft's three 30 mm cannons and rockets proved effective in ground-attack operations, particularly in the Shakargarh sector.
Air Defense of Pakistan (1966–2002)
The F-6 equipped numerous PAF squadrons and served as Pakistan's primary air-superiority fighter for many years. It was stationed at several airbases across the country and was routinely used to defend Pakistani airspace during periods of tension with India.
Afghan Border Operations (1980s)
During the Soviet-Afghan War, F-6 aircraft participated in air patrol and interception duties along Pakistan's western border, helping monitor and protect Pakistani airspace from incursions related to the conflict.
