The included IRIAF markings represent the official English abbreviation for the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force, the successor to the Imperial Iranian Air Force following the 1979 Iranian Revolution. The IRIAF inherited a large fleet of U.S.-built aircraft, including the F-14 Tomcat, F-4 Phantom II, F-5 Tiger II, C-130 Hercules, and P-3 Orion, and later incorporated Russian and domestically upgraded aircraft such as the MiG-29, Su-24, and F-7.
