The Hawker Hunter FGA.9 is the definitive ground-attack variant of the iconic British transonic jet fighter, primarily converted from the F.6 interceptor to meet RAF requirements for a strike aircraft in the Middle East. It entered service in 1959 and became a massive export success, serving in 21 foreign air forces worldwide.
