Graf Zeppelin (CV): Variant #2 — 1-2400 Scale Deck Decal
A detailed 1-2400 scale flight deck decal representing Graf Zeppelin, Germany’s only launched purpose-built aircraft carrier, presented here as Variant #2.
Historical Information
Graf Zeppelin was laid down at Deutsche Werke in Kiel in 1936 and launched on 8 December 1938. Although construction advanced substantially, shifting naval priorities, inter-service disputes, wartime resource shortages, and repeated work stoppages prevented her from entering service; final construction was halted in 1943. Scuttled by Germany near the end of the war, she was later raised by the Soviet Union and lost in the Baltic in 1947 after being used for postwar trials.
