Gotha G.I

Historical Background

The Gotha G.I was one of Germany's earliest purpose-built multi-engine bomber aircraft.

Its highly unconventional configuration placed the fuselage close to the upper wing while the twin engines were mounted lower in the airframe. Although produced in limited numbers, the G.I helped begin the line of Gotha bombers that later became famous for long-range bombing operations.
