F4U-AU-1

The F4U-AU-1 (or simply AU-1) was a rugged, heavily armored ground-attack variant of the famous F4U Corsair, developed for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) during the Korean War to provide close air support (CAS) with heavy bomb loads, featuring enhanced armor, a powerful engine (similar to F4U-5), and a focus on survivability over top speed, serving the USMC and later the French Navy.
