The F-4E Phantom II was a multi-role combat aircraft widely used several allied international militaries. It saw extensive combat in the Vietnam War, the Yom Kippur War, and the Iran-Iraq War.
 
United States
U.S. Air Force: Primary air superiority fighter and ground-attack aircraft during the Vietnam War.
 
International Operators
Israel: Used heavily by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) starting in the 1969 War of Attrition, the 1973 Yom Kippur War, and the 1982 Bekaa Valley operations.
Australia: The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) leased F-4Es under the Peace Reef program to supplement their operations.
Iran: Acquired prior to the 1979 revolution and subsequently flown during the Iran-Iraq War.
Others: The F-4E was also utilized by NATO and allied forces including Germany, Greece, Turkey, Japan, and South Korea.
