F-4B Phantom USN/USMC

The F-4B Phantom II was primarily used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps from 1961 to the 1980s, serving as a carrier-based fighter-bomber. It was heavily engaged in the Vietnam War, performing combat air patrols, interceptor missions, and air-to-ground strikes.
 
Key deployments included:
Vietnam War (1964–1973): First operated by VF-74, they were key in the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1964 and throughout the Vietnam conflict, flying from aircraft carriers such as USS Forrestal, Enterprise, and Kitty Hawk.
Marine Corps Operations: Marines deployed F-4Bs to land bases in South Vietnam and from carriers like the USS America starting in 1965.
Cold War Patrols: Stationed on aircraft carriers globally, including the Cuban Missile Crisis alert in 1962. 
 
The F-4B was eventually replaced in the late 1970s and 1980s by the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
