The F-16D Block 30—the two-seat trainer/strike variant of the Block 30 series—was primarily used by the U.S. Air Force (USAF), Air National Guard (ANG), and the Israeli Air Force (referred to as "Barak"). Key roles included combat missions in the Middle East, such as the 1991 Gulf War, alongside training, suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD), and air-to-ground missions.

Key Locations and Units of Operation:

  • United States Air Force/ANG: Operated globally for missions including Operation Desert Storm and Operation Allied Force. Key bases included Misawa AB (Japan), Kunsan AB (South Korea), and various ANG bases.
  • Israel (Barak): Employed F-16D Block 30s as a major operator (Peace Marble II/III) for strike missions, including operations over Lebanon and Iraq.
  • Hellenic Air Force (Greece): Used F-16C/D Block 30s at Nea Aghialos Air Base in the 330th and 346th Squadrons.

The Block 30 variant was known for its adaptability, with many of these aircraft later used by the USAF for reconnaissance and precision-guided strikes.
