The F-15C Eagle is an air-superiority fighter extensively used by the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard, and international partners like Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Japan. It saw combat in the 1991 Gulf War, Operation Allied Force, and patrolling No-Fly Zones in Iraq. The jet is recognized for over 100 aerial victories with zero losses.

Key Deployment and Usage Areas:

  • Combat Operations: The F-15C was used heavily in Operation Desert Storm (1991), where it achieved numerous air-to-air victories, and in Yugoslavia during Operation Allied Force (1999). It also flew missions for Operations Northern Watch and Southern Watch.
  • Key Operational Bases:
    • United States: Key bases included Langley AFB (Virginia), Eglin AFB (Florida), and Minot AFB (North Dakota). The Air National Guard continues to operate them at locations such as Jacksonville ANGB (Florida), Fresno ANGB (California), and others.
    • International: Israel has utilized the F-15C extensively since 1979, including during the 1982 Lebanon War.
    • Overseas: Kadena Air Base (Japan) served as a major deployment location for the F-15C in the Pacific theater.
  • Foreign Military Sales: Several F-15C aircraft were transferred from the US Air National Guard to the Israeli Air Force (2016).

Current Role:
While the F-15C is being replaced by the F-22 Raptor and F-15EX, many units continue to fly them for air defense. They are also used in training roles, such as at Kingsley Field ANGB.
