This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the envisioned and sometimes rendered proposed deck markings for the unfinished Ōtakisan Maru. The listing also represents the completed sister ship Shimane Maru. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.
 
Historical Information
The Shimane Maru design adapted tanker hulls for aircraft-carrying duties during the final stage of the Pacific War. The series included Shimane Maru and the unfinished Ōtakisan Maru; the deck represents this late-war merchant-conversion design.
