The Curtiss-Wright CW-21B (often referred to as the CW-XXIb Dutch variant) was primarily used by the Militaire Luchtvaart van het Koninklijk Nederlands-Indisch Leger (ML-KNIL, or Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force) in the Dutch East Indies (modern-day Indonesia) between 1941 and 1942. Twenty-four aircraft were stationed at Andir Airfield in Bandung, Java, to intercept Japanese aircraft.
