Casablanca-Class CVE Generic Deck V2 - 1-2400
Casablanca Class Escort Carrier Generic Deck V2 — 1-2400 Scale Deck Decal
This 1-2400 scale deck decal is available in separate versions for GHQ pewter miniatures and Ghukek-designed 3D-printed miniatures. The two versions are not interchangeable. Please select the correct miniature type when ordering.
MS Blue represents the dark blue deck stain used on U.S. Navy carriers during World War II. Exposure to sunlight, salt water, weather, and heavy flight-deck use caused the stain to fade over time, producing lighter blue-grey tones.
Historical Information
The Casablanca class comprised 50 escort aircraft carriers built for the U.S. Navy during World War II, making it the largest class of aircraft carriers ever constructed. These compact, mass-produced carriers supplied essential air power for amphibious operations, convoy protection, anti-submarine patrols, and aircraft transport.
Casablanca-class carriers typically operated an air group of about 27 aircraft, commonly a combination of FM-2 Wildcat fighters and TBM Avenger torpedo bombers.
