Historical Background
The Caproni Ca.3 was one of Italy's most important heavy bombers of World War I. The large three-engine biplane entered production during the later stages of the conflict and became the most numerous version of the early Caproni bomber family.
Ca.3 bombers equipped Italian squadrons operating against Austro-Hungarian military, transportation, and industrial targets, and the type also served with Allied forces during the war.
