The Bell UH-1 Iroquois, better known as the "Huey," is one of the most widely used military helicopters in history. Introduced in 1959, it served in dozens of countries and participated in conflicts across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

 

Major Conflicts and Operations

Vietnam War (1962–1975)

  • The Huey became the iconic helicopter of the war.
