Please note: 1-200 & 1-144 scale prints will receive 3 fuel probes. We do not ship probes for 1-300 or 1-285 scale prints. They are just too small, thin, and break easily. I use a brush bristle for my models as they are much more flexible. for 1-200 scale I use a "cut to length" piece of jewelry brass/copper 26 gauge wire from the craft store.
 
 
Historical Context
The Douglas A-4C Skyhawk provided the Fuerza Aérea Argentina with a later Skyhawk variant incorporating improved avionics and all-weather capability compared with the earlier A-4B. Argentina acquired 25 former U.S. A-4Cs, with the aircraft delivered in 1976.
Assigned to Grupo 4 de Caza, the A-4C became an important Argentine fighter-bomber and saw intensive combat during the 1982 Falklands/Malvinas War.

Development and Origin: The A-4C evolved from the original lightweight Skyhawk attack design with improved radar and avionics. Its compact dimensions, strong low-altitude performance, and useful weapons load made it highly effective as a tactical strike aircraft.
Military and Combat Operations:
Argentine Air Force: A-4Cs served with Grupo 4 de Caza and were based in Patagonia during the 1982 campaign.
Falklands/Malvinas War – 1982: Argentine A-4Cs flew repeated low-level strike missions against British naval forces under extremely demanding range and air-defense conditions. The type suffered significant combat losses but remained active throughout the campaign.
Foreign Operators: Argentina was one of several international Skyhawk users, but its refurbished A-4C fleet was specifically configured for Fuerza Aérea Argentina service.
Upgrades and Retirement: The surviving A-4Cs continued serving after 1982 before being withdrawn as Argentina consolidated its later Skyhawk force around the A-4AR Fightinghawk.
Design and Armament: The A-4C retained the Skyhawk's single-seat layout, twin 20 mm cannon, and multiple weapons stations for bombs, rockets, and external fuel tanks. This model represents the clean or fuel-tank configuration identified in the product title.
