A-4F Skyhawk with Drop Tanks
This is an ErikGen design. We are an approved printer for EriKGen designs. His exquisite STLs can be purchased and self printed here: EriKGen Designs.
Please note: 1-200 & 1-144 scale prints will receive 3 fuel probes. We do not ship probes for 1-300 or 1-285 scale prints. The are just too small, thin, and break easily. I use a bristle from a brush for my models as they are much more flexible. for 1-200 scale I use a "cut to length" piece of jewelry brass/copper wire from the craft store.
The A-4F Skyhawk was used primarily by the U.S. Navy as a carrier-based light-attack aircraft, beginning in 1967, and was designed specifically for close air support and ground attack roles during the Vietnam War.
Key operational details of the A-4F include:
- Vietnam War: Served with Pacific Fleet squadrons, heavily armored for protection against ground fire.
- U.S. Navy: Served as a primary attack aircraft through the late 1960s and 1970s before being replaced.
- Upgrades: Featured a distinctive "hump" for electronics and a more powerful engine compared to previous models.
