Historical Information
Serbia entered World War I with a very small aviation force that quickly proved valuable for reconnaissance and artillery observation and was later reinforced by French personnel and aircraft.

Early Serbian markings developed during the formative years of military aviation and could vary with aircraft origin, unit, and date.

These markings are suitable for reconnaissance aircraft, liaison aircraft, and Allied-supplied combat types and are particularly appropriate for 1914–1918.

Useful for Balkan Front and early military aviation collections.
