Historical Information
No. 312 Squadron was one of the Czechoslovak fighter units created within the RAF in 1940. Formed at Duxford in August and equipped with Hurricanes, it brought experienced Czechoslovak airmen into Fighter Command.

The squadron was sent to defend the Merseyside area and scored its first victory in October 1940. Its Hurricane markings therefore belong to the later phase of the Battle of Britain and the continuing defense of Britain.

Nos. 253 and 257 Squadrons were also Hurricane-equipped Fighter Command units during the 1940 campaign. They served as German attacks expanded from shipping and coastal targets to airfields and cities.

The three options reflect the combination of British and Allied personnel within the same air-defense system. Keep the individual squadron codes and aircraft letters together when constructing a historically identified Hurricane.
