Historical Information
After World War II, Hungary became a Soviet-aligned socialist state whose air force operated successive generations of Soviet-designed aircraft within the Warsaw Pact.

Communist-era red-star markings replaced earlier royal insignia and remained characteristic until traditional Hungarian markings returned around the end of the Cold War.

These markings are suitable for MiG fighters, trainers, transports, and helicopters and are particularly appropriate for Cold War Hungary.

Clearly distinguishes Hungarian aircraft from other Warsaw Pact air forces.
