Historical Information

Greek military aviation first saw operational service during the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913. Army and naval aviation subsequently operated alongside Allied air services during World War I.

The separate aviation branches were brought together around 1930-1931. Blue-and-white national markings became a lasting visual feature of the unified Greek air arm.

Greek aircraft carried the national roundel through World War II, postwar reconstruction, and NATO service. The design connects aircraft as different as the PZL P.24, Spitfire, F-84, F-4, Mirage, and F-16 within the same national aviation tradition.

Shade, proportions, and placement can vary between aircraft and periods. This full-color roundel should be distinguished from subdued modern treatments when matching a particular Hellenic Air Force aircraft.

Excellent! I ordered these to use as Ecuadorean rounders and they fit the bill perfectly.

Service was superb and delivery to the UK was very prompt.
