This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the deck markings for Hosho during that period of time. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.

 

Historical Information

Hosho was Japan's first purpose-built aircraft carrier and one of the world's earliest ships designed from the keel up for carrier operations. Laid down by Asano Shipbuilding and completed at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal, she was commissioned in 1922 and became a foundational training and development platform for Japanese naval aviation.
