This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the deck markings for the CVL Ryuho during that period of time. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.

 

Historical Information

Ryuho was converted from the submarine tender Taigei at Yokosuka Naval Arsenal and commissioned as a light aircraft carrier in 1942. Her service included aircraft transport, training, and fleet operations, although damage and Japan's declining carrier-air capability limited her offensive employment.
