This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the deck markings for the CVE Taiyo version during that period of time. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.

 

Historical Information

Taiyo was converted from the passenger liner Kasuga Maru and entered service as an escort carrier in 1941. She spent much of the war transporting aircraft and escorting convoys between Japan and forward bases.
