This 1-3000 scale waterslide decal reproduces the deck markings for the CV Soryu during that period of time. Customers report that most decals fit Davco ship castings fairly well. Apply over a properly prepared and gloss-coated model surface using normal waterslide-decal techniques.
Historical Information
Soryu was built at Kure Naval Arsenal as a fast, purpose-built fleet carrier and commissioned in 1937. She formed Carrier Division 2 with Hiryu and became an important part of Japan's mobile carrier striking force before and during the opening months of the Pacific War.
